The Iowa Attorney General’s office was successful in several nation-wide settlements with the pharmaceutical industry resulting in funds to assist in the abatement of the opioid crisis throughout the State of Iowa through prevention and treatment strategies. The State of Iowa has chosen to issue these settlement funds through locals County Boards of Supervisors. The Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors approve the use of Opioid Settlement Funds annually through local substance use prevention and treatment collaboratives.
